About Me

Hi, I'm Janine!
I am a passionate ADHD Life Coach and the proud founder of Headnoise Coaching, based in California, USA.
My life was forever altered in 2020 when I was diagnosed with ADHD at the age of 40.
This revelation, paired with the transformative support of my own ADHD coach for over two years, paved the way for me to reclaim my narrative.
Now, I am on a mission to empower other late-diagnosed adults to see their ADHD not as a limitation, but as a remarkable strength that can propel them forward.
Things I am passionate and knowledgeable about:
Mental Health Advocacy
Talking about mental health and working towards removing the stigma around it has been dear to my heart for many years.
I have personal experience with anxiety, panic attacks, depression, PMDD (Pre-Menstrual Dysphoric Disorder), RSD (Rejection Sensitivity Disorder), suicidal ideation, grief/sudden loss and - of course - ADHD.
I am also knowledgeable about autism, narcissism and sleep disorders.
Since 2019 I have been co-hosting complimentary mental health group meetings in person and on livestreams.
Focus topics have been depression, grief, suicide, exercise, BPD (Borderline Personality Disorder), ADHD, Autism, and more.
ADHD treatment options
Call me obsessed with being up to date on the latest ADHD research!!
My own multi-modal treatment approach includes or has included:
1) Scientifically proven to work strategies:

- Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
- Nutrition Changes
- Sleep Improvement
- Time in Nature
- Eight week Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction Course
- Two years of weekly ADHD Coaching (2020-2022), ongoing “refresh” coaching sessions
- Treatment for co-morbidities: GAD (general anxiety disorder), PMDD (premenstrual dysphoric disorder) and RLS (restless leg syndrome)
- Exercise
2) Not yet enough studied strategies that are rumored to do wonders - and certainly did/do for me:
- Hormone / Menstrual Cycle Management and education
- 9 months of daily personalized cerebellum training
- earthing/grounding
(Peri-)Menopause / Female Hormonal Health / Menstrual Cycle Health
The correlation of female ADHD and hormones is criminally understudied. ADHD in women in general is understudied. This is a huge issue for all of society, and I try to be as informed as possible, as more and more studies surface. Out of balance hormones can exacerbate ADHD symptoms and reduce the effectiveness of ADHD medication when we need it the most. This also plays into another interest of mine: neurodiverse relationships
Neurodiversity in Relationships
Untreated ADHD in relationships will almost certainly cause issues between partners. These can show in very different ways. It gets extra interesting when both partners are neurodiverse. For example, ADHDers and Autists often are attracted to each other, and have a completely different way of communicating. It’s very possible to learn to be in a neurodiverse relationship, if both partners are open to learning new approaches. I am determined to help couples or a (neurodiverse or neurotypical) person in a neurodiverse relationship find a way to understand each other’s struggles better and learn to support each other in a neuro-friendly way.
Inclusivity
I am passionate about inclusivity of any human being, however they show up physically or mentally.
I pledge to provide a safe, confidential, open-minded and non-judgmental space for all my clients.
I welcome all gender and ethnic identities and everything in-between and I see it as my responsibility to educate myself on your personal identity/identities and communication preferences.
International experience
I was born and raised in Germany and moved to the USA in 2014 where I’ve lived ever since. Throughout my life and career as a musician, I have worked in 40 different countries, connecting with people of different cultural backgrounds through live performance and mental health gatherings.
I speak fluent English and German, and am very rusty in French and Russian.

Animals
I live with five rescue animals (two cats and three dogs) and I volunteer at my local rescue for senior dogs. Animals make me smile, they make me care, and they make sure I get out of bed every morning.
